Sora Ueno

Ueno Sora is the protagonist of Ueno-kun wa Kaihatsuzumi, a socially awkward college student whose life becomes complicated after reconnecting with girls who used to bully him in the past. Although he appears quiet and passive, Ueno is surprisingly honest and emotionally vulnerable, often getting dragged into embarrassing and chaotic situations because of his unusual desires and inability to properly handle intimacy.

At the beginning of the manga, Ueno mainly acts as a timid and reactive character, constantly overwhelmed by the teasing and manipulative behavior of the people around him. His awkward personality and exaggerated reactions are one of the main sources of comedy in the story, but they also reveal his insecurity and lack of confidence.

As the series progresses, Ueno slowly becomes more emotionally aware and begins confronting both his past and his complicated feelings toward the girls around him. While he never completely loses his awkward nature, he gradually develops stronger relationships and becomes less passive, showing subtle but noticeable personal growth throughout the manga.
