While ajins are controlled by humans, Tenyou is a kind-hearted, honest, and innocent man who does not discriminate against ajins despite being a human. He is saddened that his former servant, Sogetsu Ko, was killed, and is angry that the culprit in the incident was not pursued for the sake of the honor of his imperial family. He tries to cooperate with Rangetsu, thinking that finding out the culprit behind the incident will help cleanse the imperial family.
