Outgoing and sociable, Yuu Mizuno is totally open about his love of cute character My Melody and feels no embarrassment about it at all. Yuu first got into My Melody through looking after his little sister while his parents worked and using her cute accessories out of practicality. The girls in class actually quite like that Yuu likes cute characters, and also find his devotion to his sister attractive. He has poor eyesight and can be seen putting in contact lenses during the anime's opening.
