Noa Jougasaki

Noa Jougasaki is a 15-year-old street artist and one of the prisoners in Mahou Shoujo no Majo Saiban. She is a mysterious, easygoing girl with an eccentric and somewhat absent-minded personality. Noa tends to act at her own pace, rarely feels intimidated by others, and has a habit of questioning even seemingly ordinary things.

Despite her young age, her artwork is famous around the world. She works anonymously under the name "BALLOON", and virtually no one knows the true identity of the artist behind the name. Noa genuinely loves drawing and dreams of someday creating a picture she can truly be satisfied with and appearing before the public under her own name.

Noa possesses Liquid Manipulation magic. She can freely manipulate liquids such as paint, changing their shape and movement. She primarily uses this ability for drawing and can make her paintings move as if they were alive.

Noa has loved drawing since childhood and continued pursuing art despite having little natural talent for it. After her magic manifested, the paintings altered by her ability began receiving enormous praise, eventually making the anonymous "BALLOON" famous around the world.

This success became a source of deep insecurity for Noa. Her own unaided drawings are considerably less accomplished than the works created through her magic, and she developed an intense fear of anyone seeing them. At the same time, what she truly wants is for someone to see and appreciate a picture that she created entirely by herself.

Her magic therefore embodies a painful contradiction: it gave Noa the artistic success she dreamed of while preventing her from receiving recognition for art that is genuinely her own.
