Masaru Hyodou was the primary instigator behind Koyuki's bullying in middle school, embodying the kind of hostility that once stifled Koyuki's confidence. A technically proficient guitarist, Hyodou plays with mechanical precision but lacks the emotional depth that gives music its soul—a flaw Ryuusuke does not hesitate to point out. Though the son of a famous musician, Hyodou uses his mother's surname following his parents' divorce, further hinting at the distance between him and the legacy he's trying to live up to.
