A cute little fox who travels with Tao Yao and Moya.
Gungun was originally a Grey Fox who was saved by a kind young soldier during wartime and became deeply attached to him. He spent forty years cultivating himself so he could become human and find the man again, only to discover that the man had become a ruthless general. Despite this, Gungun sacrificed his tail and took on the resentment of thousands of people killed by the general in order to save him, nearly dying in the process. Tao Yao eventually saved him, but he lost his cultivation and memories, returning to the form of a little fox.
