Beatrice is the only princess and Max's half-sister, and the two siblings have a strained relationship, often fighting with each other. Beatrice tries desperately to please her mother, but always seems to fall short. She is the protagonist of the novel from Jubelian's previous life, in which Beatrice has a romance with Mikhail. In the novel, Jubelian is accused of poisoning Beatrice, which leads to the former's eventual suicide in the Room of Shadows.
Beatrice is a magician.
She eventually falls in love with Victor, Max's knight who often acts as his stand-in.
Following his ascension, Max bestows Lanette Castle, thus giving her the title of grand duchess, and grants her rule over the Magic Tower. Thus, her name is changed to Beatrice Evelyn Lanette. While the siblings still fight with each other, they bond over their mutual love of Jubelian.
